Medical Fill Racks for Small D & E Size Cylinders

By incorporating safety features and ergonomic design into a space efficient, expandable system, Weldcoa’s Medical Fill Racks will grow with your expanding business. Fill Racks are modular and can expand to the left and to the right. We have also designed “corner sections” in order to go in to a corner of a building or to create a “U” shaped fill layout. This is an ideal option for low to mid-level volume filling. Much of the strength of Weldcoa’s fill rack lies in it’s ability to adapt to suit the needs of the end-user.

These racks are built in a modular fashion so that they can easily be added on to one another to expand the quantity. A union type fitting allows for connecting each rack end to end without any piping necessary. Thus you can expand in multiples of 24 and fill cylinders in multiples of 12. Weldcoa can also offer the option of 45 or 90 degree angle brass headers (called Mr. Jumper) when connecting the racks. This will allow you to configure the racks to best fit the layout based on the space available.

Weldcoa’s standard medical oxygen small cylinder (E & D) racks is a two level tier fill system that can occupy 24 cylinders at a time, with 12 cylinders on each row. The standard racks come in two styles. One for yoke valve cylinders (CGA 870) and one for Grab-N-Go type cylinders (cylinders with a combination regulator and valve built in top) with CGA 540 valves.

Both styles are available with either hand-tight or quick-connect fittings.
Either option comes with short leads (pigtails) for some flexibility when hooking up the fitting.
Each row of cylinders has its own brass manifold header and isolation valve.
The frame is built ergonomically so the operator does not have to bend too low or reach too high.
The frame also allows for the cylinders to be loaded in an inverted position. The degree of angle is such so as much water will drain out as possible prior to evacuating.
Protective sleeves are also an available option. These can be provided on the frame so that cylinders don’t get scraped up while loading/unloading.
The Grab-N-Go style rack comes with the inverted frame so that the cylinders are staggered in the row. This way the operator can connect the fittings without interference due to the top works.
Weldcoa can also provide control panels and vacuum pump systems dedicated for the E racks.
